Bioremediation-mycofiltration-FUNGI-PERFECTI

In an application Paul Stamets calls mycofiltration, a levee of “bunker spawn”—burlap sacks of wood chips inoculated with fungal spawn— has been laid across a polluted brook. The fungi growing in the sacks feed on the excess nutrients (perhaps from urine and manure from a livestock operation), purifying the water to protect water systems downstream.
