The shaft itself is one of those critical components that must be engineered with precision—it must be welded absolutely perpendicular to the mounting plate. The builder lacking the skills or equipment for such work will either have to find a local welder to do the job for bucks or beer, or purchase this completed item from Herrick Kimball.
